About the Job

The Sr. Compliance Analyst is responsible for providing advanced analysis and support to Musket and Trillium’s trade surveillance and compliance programs. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of relevant experience in a compliance, audit, middle office, or legal role. Experience in a trading organization, financial services, or legal firm is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with trading, legal, risk, and accounting to ensure compliance with laws and regulations
• Develop and continuously improve policies, procedures, and controls to help mitigate compliance risks
• Lead the review, analysis, and reporting of results from internal trade surveillance system(s)
• Respond to and report alerts from internal compliance systems/solutions
• Lead internal compliance investigations and reviews of trading activity
• Contribute to investigations and responses to regulatory inquiries
• Contribute to routine compliance trainings
• Provide mentorship and guidance to junior teammates
• Ad hoc compliance reporting as needed

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; MLS or JD degree preferred
• 3-5 years of relevant experience in a compliance, audit, middle office, or legal role
• Experience in a trading organization, financial services, or legal firm preferred
• Experience with oil, refined products, NGL, and/or biofuel markets preferred

• Attention to detail
• Strong communication and presentation skills
• Knowledge of laws and regulations related to Musket’s commercial business lines
• Familiarity with RightAngle or other ETRM system preferred
