About the Job
CenterPoint Energy is seeking a Technician B, A, or Special to join their team in Coon Rapids, Minnesota. The ideal candidate will have experience in heating, refrigeration, and air conditioning.
Responsibilities
• Service, inspect, and install residential and commercial gas and electric appliances and HVAC equipment
• Maintain and repair the gas distribution system
• Promote and sell Home Service Plus products and services
• Respond to emergency situations
• Complete record keeping associated with appliance service and distribution functions
• Participate in training to increase job knowledge and competency
Qualifications
• Successful completion of a 1 or 2-year certificate, diploma, or associate degree program in heating, refrigeration, and air conditioning, or a combination of education and experience providing equivalent technical skills
• Entry level position: Without a technical degree, minimum of 2 years’ experience in heating, refrigeration, and air conditioning
• Tech A: Must have completed at least two years in the “A” Technician classification
