Job Description: Dietitian – Dialysis
Sanford Health is seeking a part-time Dietitian to join our team at the 7th & Thayer Dial & Trnplt facility in Bismarck, North Dakota. The ideal candidate will have a passion for providing exceptional nutrition care to patients with renal disease.
Responsibilities:
• Provide medical nutrition therapy services and monitor nutritional care of adult dialysis patients
• Conduct nutritional assessments, develop individualized care plans, and make recommendations for diet modifications
• Educate patients and families on renal disease, nutrition risk management, and self-management skills
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to optimize patient outcomes
• Participate in clinical performance improvement activities and research
• Assist with renal transplantation patients, both pre- and post-transplantation
• Travel to outreach facilities as needed
Qualifications:
• Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in dietetics or food and nutrition from an ACEND-accredited program (or a master’s degree after January 1, 2024)
• Clinical nutrition experience through an approved coordinated undergraduate program or successful completion of a post-graduate internship
• Current Registered Dietitian (RD) license within the applicable state(s)
• Registration by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR)
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong work ethic and commitment to providing high-quality patient care
