This Accountant I role is crucial for supporting the Accounting department, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and contributing to the overall satisfaction of internal and external customers.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Execute Close: Manage the monthly general ledger close for assigned areas for Westside and Northside Lexus, updating the close checklist.
• Prepare Entries: Create and process journal entries, including recurring entries, for month-end close.
• Reconcile Accounts: Timely reconcile balance sheet accounts and resolve any identified reconciling items.
• Analyze Financials: Review monthly and year-end financial data to ensure accurate recording in accordance with GAAP.
• Provide Explanations: Compare actual results to budgeted results on a monthly basis and provide variance explanations.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance from a four-year college or university.
• Experience: 0-2 years of General Ledger Accounting experience.
• Skills: Strong administration and organizational skills; excellent typing and 10-key by touch proficiency; effective oral and written communication abilities; capacity to read, analyze, and interpret financial reports and legal documents; and adherence to company confidentiality and data management policies.
• Bonus:
