The ITAM FinOps Expert will ensure effective governance, financial accountability, cost optimization, and data-driven decisions for the bank’s technology investments.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Manage lifecycle management: Oversee and map processes for IT assets, including Cloud and AI technologies, throughout their entire lifecycle.
• Oversee financial operations: Manage reporting, forecasting, budgeting, and comprehensive financial analysis to accurately show back spend to relevant cost centers.
• Act as a ServiceNow SME: Serve as the subject matter expert for ServiceNow’s Hardware Asset Management (HAM Pro), Software Asset Management (SAM Pro), and Cloud Cost Management (CCM) modules, focusing on functionality, configuration, and optimization.
• Define and improve ITAM processes: Develop, document, and continuously enhance ITAM processes, policies, and procedures in alignment with industry best practices and organizational goals.
• Drive FinOps governance: Lead cloud cost optimization initiatives, manage forecasting, implement chargeback/show back reporting, and ensure financial accountability across technology services.

The Must-Haves
• Background: This is a senior-level position requiring 6+ years of hands-on IT Asset Management experience, with direct responsibility for hardware, software asset management, or financial operations. Core domain knowledge includes ITAM best practices (lifecycle management, discovery, compliance, governance) and FinOps principles (cloud financial management, budgeting, unit economics, cost allocation).
• Experience: Proven expertise with ITAM and FinOps ServiceNow modules, specifically HAM Pro, SAM Pro, and CCM. Requires experience with process mining, transformation, mapping, documentation, and working with Google Cloud platforms.
• Skills: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate business needs into technical solutions, strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills, detail-oriented with a focus on data accuracy and process integrity, and skilled at workflow design and business process mapping utilizing Visio.
• Bonus: Certifications such as Hardware Asset Management Fundamentals – ServiceNow, Software Asset Management Fundamentals – ServiceNow, Certified Asset Management Professional (CAMP) – IAITAM, Certified Software Asset Manager (CSAM) – IAITAM, Certified Hardware Asset Management Professional (CHAMP) – IAITAM, or FinOps Certified Practitioner (FOCP). Familiarity with CMDB processes and relationships or ITIL foundations is also preferred.
