Single Audit Intern – Summer 2027 | Carr, Riggs & Ingram

The Tone:
This is an internship at Carr, Riggs & Ingram, located in Irving, TX. Carr, Riggs & Ingram is a nationally recognized accounting and advisory firm, with CapinCrouse serving over 1,600 mission-focused nonprofit organizations nationwide. This role is essential for providing financial integrity and security support to these nonprofit organizations, offering significant potential for professional growth within the firm.

The TL;DR

• Mission: Serve mission-focused nonprofit clients by providing high-quality audit and assurance services as part of a dedicated team.
• Tech Stack: Microsoft Office software (Word, Access, Excel, PowerPoint)

What You’ll Actually Do
• Client Service: Provide high-quality service to clients as a productive member of assigned audit teams.
• Office Participation: Actively participate in office events and initiatives as a productive team member of the practice office.
• Professional Development: Actively pursue professional development with an initial focus on CPA certification.
• Auditing Knowledge: Actively develop auditing knowledge and skills to assume increasingly more complex audit and other assurance responsibilities.
• Professional Conduct: Display integrity and professional behavior consistent with CapinCrouse’s focus, vision, mission and core values.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Entry-Level. Two or more years of university education completed by the time of starting the internship, actively pursuing a bachelor’s degree in accounting.
• Experience: Familiarity with Microsoft Office software (Word, Access, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Skills: Demonstrated written and oral communication skills, demonstrated ability to work independently and as a team, high degree of discretion dealing with confidential information.
