This is a temporary audit internship at UHY-US, located in Hudson, NY. UHY-US is one of the nation’s largest professional services firms, providing audit, tax, consulting, and advisory services to clients primarily in the middle market. This role offers the unique opportunity to gain practical experience in the field of audit and assurance, contributing to the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting for diverse clientele. What You’ll Actually Do
• Perform data entry, documentation preparation, and basic analysis of financial information for audit engagements.
• Support the execution of audit procedures, including substantive testing and control testing.
• Maintain accurate, organized, and compliant audit files and documentation according to firm standards.
• Assist in the preparation of workpapers and audit reports, compiling relevant financial data for analysis.
• Utilize audit software and tools to input data, extract reports, and support various audit processes.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Entry-level professional currently enrolled at an accredited college/university pursuing a degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
• Experience: 0 – 1 year of relevant experience, along with a High School Diploma or GED or equivalent certificate.
• Skills: Data entry, documentation preparation, basic financial analysis, audit software utilization, effective communication, and meticulous attention to detail.
• Bonus: Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher.
