• Mission: This person is responsible for managing Sales and Use Tax compliance and supporting financial accuracy for US divisions.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Tax Preparation: Prepare, file, and pay all Sales and Use Tax returns and payments for US divisions, managing multiple and variable tax rates for localities.
• License Management: Assist in applying for new and renewal licenses and ensuring licenses are maintained and payments are processed accordingly.
• Account Reconciliation: Reconcile General Ledger liability accounts, research, and resolve any variances.
• Audit Support: Assist in providing State & Local Auditors with reporting, sales detail, and invoices to address requirements.
• System Collaboration: Work with IT to update and enter sales tax rates, verify changes with Stores, and participate in testing system fixes and enhancements.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance, or equivalent work experience. This is an early career role with intermediate accounting knowledge and an understanding of accounting principles.
• Experience: 1-2 years in an Accounting or Finance environment, preferably with tax-related experience.
• Skills: Knowledge of Excel and Word, including the ability to build moderately complex spreadsheets; strong prioritization and time management skills; strong attention to detail and organizational skills; strong analytical and written skills; and the ability to work under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
