This is a summer internship at Diversified Energy Company, located in Birmingham, AL. • Mission: This intern will assist the finance department in maintaining accurate financial records, preparing reports, and supporting overall financial operations.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Financial Operations: Shadow members of the finance department to learn their daily duties and contribute to ongoing operations.
• Record Keeping: Assist with research, filing, data entry, and ensuring the accurate and complete maintenance of financial records.
• Report Preparation: Prepare various financial documents, including balance sheets, income statements, and invoices, contributing to the financial reporting process.
• Accounting Team Support: Collaborate with the accounting team to compile and analyze financial data, track key information, and utilize bookkeeping software to support company operations and clients.
• Professional Development: Engage directly with Diversified leaders, participate in professional development activities such as training and site visits, and utilize networking opportunities to enhance learning and career growth.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Entry-Level. Must be currently enrolled in a college/university program during the internship period.
• Experience: No specific prior professional experience is required for this role.
• Essential Qualities: Demonstrates a self-starter attitude with a strong work ethic, a positive attitude, and an eagerness to contribute in a team-oriented environment.
• Core Skills: Possesses excellent written and verbal communication skills and the integrity required to handle sensitive financial information responsibly.
