Accounting Intern (Summer 2027) | Oshkosh AeroTech

The Tone:
This is a summer internship at Oshkosh AeroTech, available across various U.S. locations. Oshkosh AeroTech is a leading provider of aviation ground support products, gate equipment, and airport services for commercial airlines, airports, air-freight carriers, ground handling, and military customers. This role is vital for supporting essential functions within operational finance, offering comprehensive exposure to accounting processes and systems. The internship provides a foundational background for future roles in finance by integrating the intern into key operational areas.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Journal Entries: Assist in the preparation of journal entries to support financial reporting.
• Invoice Processing: Develop working knowledge of invoice processing and assist in the preparation of customer invoices.
• Payment Runs: Participate in the twice-weekly payment (check) run to ensure timely vendor payments.
• Fixed Asset Audits: Participate in fixed asset audits, contributing to asset verification and record accuracy.
• Special Projects: Support ad hoc accounting projects as needed, offering flexibility and exposure to diverse tasks.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Entry-level student working toward a Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, business or a related field, with year-round availability.
• Skills: Strong ability to communicate effectively, excellent organizational skills, and basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Access, and Word.
• Bonus: Previous exposure to accounting concepts through coursework or prior work experience.
