The TL;DR
• Role: Internship
• Type: Spring (Full-time: 40 hours/week, Jan–Apr) or Summer (Part-time: 32 hours/week, Jun–Aug)
• Location: Hybrid – Atlanta, GA
• Pay: $33 hourly
• Mission: To provide hands-on client work experience and skill development for students pursuing a public accounting career in Audit or Tax.
• Tech Stack: Microsoft Excel
What You’ll Actually Do
• Client Work: Work with clients of various sizes across a diverse range of industries.
• Project Exposure: Gain exposure to complex accounting, tax, and assurance projects.
• Collaboration: Collaborate directly with partners, managers, and experienced staff on client engagements.
• Tax Support: Assist with the preparation of tax returns and support clients in tax research and planning strategies.
• Audit Support: Assist with assurance engagements and support teams in evaluating internal controls and financial reporting processes, including potential travel to client sites.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Accounting major pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree, with a minimum 3.3 GPA, on track to meet CPA eligibility requirements, and an interest in a full-time public accounting career.
• Experience: Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ability to apply Excel skills in data analysis and reporting.
• Skills: Exceptional verbal and written communication, demonstrated initiative, strong problem-solving abilities, strong attention to detail, and ability to work effectively and collaboratively with clients and team members.
