This position is designed to be a critical link between daily logistics execution and the advancement of digital innovation. The Operations Specialist will play a pivotal role in overseeing high-volume shipping operations and ensuring trade compliance, while also actively developing and deploying custom automation solutions. This effort is central to the company’s objective of reducing manual intervention, eliminating data entry errors, and significantly accelerating the crucial clearance cycle time within logistics workflows.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Trade Compliance and Facilitation: Manage operational workflows closely aligned with ATFC operations to ensure the seamless cross-border movement of goods. This includes reviewing and validating shipping documentation to ensure strict adherence to APAC-specific Free Trade Agreements and PEZA regulations.
• Data Integrity and Accuracy: Monitor and audit Harmonized System (HS) code classifications and valuation accuracy across all shipping documentation to prevent potential customs delays or penalties, thereby upholding high data integrity standards.
• Automation Solution Development: Build and maintain robust Python scripts, leveraging AI for large-scale data extraction from Microsoft SharePoint and internal FedEx databases. Additionally, develop sophisticated Excel macros using VBA to automate repetitive daily reporting, manifest reconciliation, and metrics audits.
• Process Optimization and Workflow Automation: Utilize the Microsoft Power Platform, including Power Automate and Power BI, to create comprehensive, end-to-end automated workflows. Examples include automated email notifications for clearance delays and the development of real-time operational dashboards that provide immediate insights.
• Strategic Analytics and Reporting: Design and manage operational excellence dashboards to effectively track critical metrics such as employee performance, cycle time, and overall operations efficiency. Conduct SWOT analyses on logistics profiles and commodity trends to provide management with actionable data for informed resource allocation and strategic decision-making.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Business Analytics, or Logistics Management.
• Experience: 3+ years in logistics, supply chain, or customs operations, with hands-on experience using Microsoft Power Automate, Power Apps, and PowerBI.
• Skills: Advanced proficiency in AI and Python (including Pandas, OpenPyXL), VBA, and MS SharePoint. Deep understanding of ATFC protocols, APAC customs regulations, and PEZA requirements.
