The Tone:
This is an early career accounting role with a client of Robert Half. The client is seeking an accounting professional to join their finance team, where they will support financial reporting, account analysis, and core accounting functions. This position is vital for ensuring compliance with accounting standards and internal controls, offering significant exposure to technical accounting and financial analysis, and contributing to the business’s overall financial health and strategic objectives.

The TL;DR

• Pay: $65000–$75000 yearly + Competitive Bonus
• Team: Reports directly to an exceptional finance leader.
• Mission: To support financial reporting, account analysis, and reconciliations while ensuring compliance with accounting standards and internal controls.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Prepare and analyze financial reports and supporting schedules to contribute to accurate financial representation.
• Perform thorough account reconciliations and actively maintain the accuracy and integrity of the general ledger.
• Assist proactively with critical month-end and year-end close activities to meet reporting deadlines and ensure timely financial statements.
• Support both internal and external audit processes, contributing to successful audit outcomes and compliance.
• Conduct financial analysis and research as needed to provide valuable insights and inform business decision-making.

The Must-Haves
• Background: A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance is required for this position.
• Experience: At least 2 years of experience in accounting, finance, audit, or a related field is necessary.
• Skills: Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel; demonstrated experience with financial reporting and data analysis; comprehensive knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and fundamental accounting principles; and general proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
• Bonus: Previous experience specifically with general ledger accounting, account reconciliations, and financial reporting is preferred.
