The Tone:

This role is crucial for designing and executing Distributed Control System (DCS) engineering activities in service projects, ensuring high-quality delivery and customer satisfaction for our Process Automation business.

• Team: Reports to the Engineering Manager within the Energy Industries in Process Automation business.
• Mission: Design and execute DCS engineering activities for service projects with low to medium complexity, meeting quality and safety standards while providing excellent customer service.
• Tech Stack: ABB 800xA, AC800M, Melody, MOD300, Advant, SG400, AC500, Modbus, OPC, IEC 61508, IEC 61511, NORSOK.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Project Execution: Execute engineering assignments by applying standard engineering practices, procedures, and project execution methodologies.
• Solution Design: Gather and analyze customer requirements, identify process gaps, and design effective automation and integration solutions in collaboration with business stakeholders.
• Project Leadership: Lead testing, installation, commissioning, and overall project delivery activities to ensure successful execution across the project lifecycle.
• Technical Resolution: Collaborate with cross-functional teams and customers to resolve technical challenges, meet project objectives, and deliver solutions within agreed timelines.
• Continuous Improvement: Drive continuous improvement by standardizing engineering processes and adopting emerging automation technologies.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s Degree in Instrumentation Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering, or Electronics & Instrumentation.
• Experience: 4+ years of hands-on Process/Safety System experience in Application Engineering, HMI, 3rd party Communication, FAT and SAT for Process Automation in Oil & Gas, Refineries, or Petrochemicals, including hardware experience. Proven experience executing brownfield projects involving system modifications, retrofits, upgrades, migration, service, and commissioning.
• Skills: Ability to analyze customer requirements and deliver automation solutions across various process industries. Proficiency in configuring and supporting Process, Safety, Fire & Gas, and Emergency Shutdown Systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards like IEC 61508, IEC 61511, and NORSOK. Capability to integrate and troubleshoot third-party communication protocols such as Modbus, OPC, and other industrial interfaces. Expertise in automation platforms including ABB 800xA, AC800M, Melody, MOD300, Advant, SG400, and AC500.
• Bonus: Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
