Commercial Litigation Associate (2-5 years) | Holland & Hart LLP

This role is crucial for contributing to the firm’s Commercial Litigation team, offering a chance for in-depth, hands-on experience and direct involvement in complex litigation matters from the outset. • Mission: This person will manage complex litigation matters and contribute significantly to the collective success and culture of the firm.
What You’ll Actually Do
• Manage a caseload of billable commercial litigation matters, aiming for 1800 hours annually.
• Conduct thorough legal research and draft high-quality legal documents and communications.
• Engage in pro bono legal work and public service, dedicating 50-75 hours annually to these efforts.
• Contribute at least 25 hours to community-building, diversity, and inclusion investment hours.
• Participate actively in firm committees and various activities to support the overall life and success of the firm.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Juris Doctor with a strong academic and legal background. Core domain knowledge in general litigation, including commercial litigation, labor & employment, environmental and natural resources litigation, and/or real estate/construction litigation.
• Experience: 2-5 years of experience in general litigation, specifically handling complex litigation matters, preferably gained at top-tier law firms.
• Skills: Excellent legal research skills, strong legal writing abilities, an energetic personality, strong interpersonal skills, and the capacity to work effectively in a team environment.
