Audit Internship – Summer 2027 | Wipfli

The TL;DR
• Role: Internship
• Type: Full-time or Part-time (Seasonal)
• Location: In-person various Wipfli offices and client sites
• Pay: $29.50 hourly
• Mission: To support audit engagements, prepare financial documentation, and assist clients and firm associates with accounting-related responsibilities.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Perform: Execute audit, review, and compliance testing procedures in accordance with firm and professional standards.
• Communicate: Respond to client and firm associate requests and inquiries in a timely, accurate, positive, and professional manner.
• Analyze: Utilize data analysis skills to discover useful information and patterns, providing support in recommendations and identifying process improvement opportunities.
• Prepare: Draft financial statements, footnotes, management reports, and other engagement outputs for clients.
• Collaborate: Communicate with engagement leaders regarding open items, testing problems, or other important matters in a timely manner.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Entry-level, pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting with completion of a corporate or individual taxation class.
• Experience: Demonstrated above-average competency in accounting with a minimum 3.2 GPA, and working towards eligibility to sit for the CPA exam upon graduation.
• Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, ability to prioritize work, follow through on requests, take initiative, meet deadlines, think independently, and make sound decisions.
• Bonus: Preferred coursework in Data Analytics or Big Data.
