Staff Accountant | Monarch Investment and Management Group

The Staff Accountant is essential for accurately reporting financial positions and managing all accounting information for assigned entities, working closely with property and asset management teams. This in-office position offers a comfortable business casual environment and opportunities for optional team-based events.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Cash Management: Review cash related events daily, including Accounts Receivable (AR) & Payable (AP).
• Financial Reporting: Prepare and post monthly journal entries and reconciliations.
• Variance Analysis: Review and tie out all budget variances and account balances with corresponding reports.
• Statement Preparation: Prepare Month End, Quarterly, and Annual Financial Statements.
• Investor Support: Assist in the preparation and review of quarterly reports for investors and management.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree in accounting or completion of Intermediate Accounting 1 and 2.
• Experience: 1 to 2 years staff accounting experience is strongly preferred.
• Skills: Demonstrated ability to prepare and understand financial statements.
• Bonus: Experience with Yardi or other multifamily accounting programs.
