AutoZone 2027 Summer Internship – Internal Audit | AutoZone

The Tone:
This is a full-time internship at AutoZone, located in Memphis, TN. AutoZone’s program aims to provide students with challenging, real-world experience within a corporate retail environment. This role is crucial for developing talented individuals, preparing them for leadership opportunities across various areas of the business, and making impactful contributions to AutoZone and the community. The experience will further develop analytical and problem-solving skills while expanding a professional network.

• Mission: Assist with executing assigned audit projects by understanding business processes, analyzing data, and identifying system or process risks to present findings to business partners.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Project Execution: Assist with the execution of assigned internal audit projects.
• Process Interaction: Interact with AutoZoners across the organization to understand various business processes.
• Data Analysis: Analyze data to identify system or process risks within the organization.
• Findings Presentation: Present audit findings to business partners in both verbal and written formats.
• Skill Development: Gain experience and learn about multiple areas of the business to further develop analytical and problem-solving skills.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Minimum qualification: Must be a rising junior, senior, or graduate student enrolled in an accredited college or university during the Summer 2027 internship program (June 7 – August 6, 2027). Career level: Entry-Level.
• Experience: Must be able to reside in the Memphis area for the duration of the internship. Students who graduate before June 7, 2027, are not eligible for the program.
• Skills: Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Bonus: Relocation assistance is available for eligible non-local students. Applicants should apply to no more than two internship roles that best align with their interests, skills, and experience.
