Manager in Training | SBM Management Services, LP

The Tone:
This is an in-person, full-time role at SBM Management Services, LP, a 2,758-person organization. This Manager-in-Training position is part of a rigorous 9-week program designed to develop emerging leaders through hands-on training and structured professional development. This role is crucial for assisting with the coordination and direction of operations, ensuring SBM meets its contractual responsibilities with customers.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Coordinate Operations: Assist with coordinating and directing operations necessary to carry out contractual responsibilities.
• Manage Schedules: Develop work schedules, assign personnel to routes, and ensure adequate service.
• Ensure Compliance: Inspect and evaluate establishments for safety, quality, and service program compliance.
• Client Relations: Act as liaison between the company, customers, clients, employees, and subcontractors, and address customer service requests.
• Support Management: Assist with the implementation and execution of policies, budgeting, and human resource concerns.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Associate Degree required in Business Management or a related field, preparing for an Assistant Operations Manager role.
• Experience: 2+ years of experience in business management or a related field, encompassing operational coordination, supervision, and program compliance, with exposure to team development and client relationship management.
• Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills; customer service, problem-solving, time management, project management, and planning abilities; knowledge of cleaning methods, equipment upkeep, and safe use of chemicals; proficiency in Microsoft Office and general computer skills.
• Bonus: Bachelor’s Degree preferred; bilingual in English & Spanish; CPR/AED/First Aid certification; valid driver’s license; forklift certification.
