Operations Management Development Program – January 2027 | Precision Castparts

The Tone:
This is an early career development program at Precision Castparts, located in various US manufacturing facilities. Precision Castparts Corp. empowers its future leaders by developing emergent talent within its diverse manufacturing operations. This high-velocity two-year rotational program is designed to develop capable operations leaders who will drive operational success and contribute to the company’s future leadership. The program provides comprehensive learning experiences and opportunities to prepare participants for management roles.

The TL;DR

• Location: In-person, various US locations

• Team: Individual contributor within a cohort, reporting to program leadership, working within various operations teams.
• Mission: This program aims to build capable operations leaders through immersive, hands-on experience, learning every process, system, and team dynamic that drives operational success.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Program Immersion: Immerse deeply in manufacturing processes, shadowing departments and engaging with employees to understand real operational challenges during the first four months.
• Operational Improvement: Lead impactful projects focused on enhancing safety, quality, cost-efficiency, and productivity metrics within assigned departments.
• Supervisory Leadership: Step into a full Operations Supervisor role with direct responsibility for people, performance, and outcomes during the latter part of the first year.
• Metric Ownership: Own and drive key metrics across safety, quality, throughput, cost, productivity, and team development with real impact from day one.
• Advanced Leadership: Tackle elevated leadership challenges within a more complex facility, managing broader scopes and larger teams during the second year of the program.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s Degree in a technical field such as Operations or Industrial Management, Supply Chain, Industrial Systems, Engineering Management, or Engineering. This is an entry-level opportunity specifically designed for recent graduates or seniors graduating in December 2026.
• Experience: Prior co-op or internship experience within a manufacturing environment and demonstrated leadership through club, organization, or activity involvement.
• Skills: Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written; strong analytical and critical thinking skills; ability to manage time, prioritize tasks, and multi-task effectively in a demanding environment; willingness to maintain a flexible schedule, including working outside standard business hours, and to relocate to various US locations.
