What You’ll Actually Do
• Software Proficiency: Participate in dedicated training sessions to enhance proficiency in utilizing advanced accounting software and specialized tools effectively for tax-related tasks.
• Compliance Support: Collaborate closely with experienced professionals to execute various tax compliance tasks for diverse clients and industries.
• Client Assignments & Shadowing: Engage directly in diverse client assignments, participate in research projects, and leverage shadowing opportunities to deepen understanding of the public accounting industry.
• Data Analysis & Reporting: Analyze financial data comprehensively, identify relevant trends, and contribute to the preparation of accurate and insightful comprehensive reports.
• Tax Return Preparation: Assist diligently in the preparation of tax returns, ensuring meticulous accuracy and strict compliance with applicable industry regulations and accounting standards.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Entry-Level, pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting as a current college junior or senior.
• Experience: Ability to commit to a winter internship from mid-January through mid-April, working three full days per week (9am-5pm).
• Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, and a strong academic record demonstrating proficiency in Accounting studies.
• Bonus: A keen interest in contributing to the success of a medium-sized accounting firm.
