The Tone:
This is a full-time role at Ernst and Young, located in India. This role is crucial for strengthening clients’ defenses against financial crime risks, ensuring compliance with evolving regulations, and protecting them from fraud and loss. You will contribute to maintaining robust financial crime prevention frameworks across various banking segments.

• Team: Global Managed Services Delivery team, part of Financial Crime Operations Compliance, partnering with EY offices worldwide.
• Mission: To support businesses in complying with financial crime regulations and adhering to client policies and procedures related to anti-money laundering and counter-terrorist financing.
• Tech Stack: AI Tools & Automation, Generative AI, prompt engineering, transaction monitoring systems, MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

What You’ll Actually Do
• Compliance Support: Predominantly support the compliance team in helping businesses adhere to financial crime regulations and client policies for AML and CTF.
• Transaction Oversight: Oversee customer transactions, including transfers, deposits, and withdrawals, to identify suspicious activity across various banking segments.
• Suspicious Activity Reporting: Investigate and report suspicious activity, including Anti-Money Laundering concerns, for assigned business units.
• Process Documentation: Devise process documentation and translate complex processes into easy-to-follow instructions.
• AI and Automation Application: Apply AI tools and automation techniques to support financial crime compliance workstreams, enhancing research and operational efficiency.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, law, or a related field, focused on financial crime compliance.
• Experience: 1-3 years of work experience in AML Transaction Monitoring, with demonstrated experience in a consulting role or within a large corporate environment.
• Skills: Strong analytical skills to interpret complex financial data, good understanding of SAR drafting and AML regulatory reporting, proficiency in Generative AI and prompt engineering, and an in-depth understanding of transaction monitoring and risks in wealth management, commercial banking, corporate, and correspondent banking segments.
• Bonus: Good English communication skills (written and verbal), PC proficiency including MS Office applications, ability to manage competing priorities, and crypto knowledge and experience.
