Accounting Analyst | The Waldinger Corporation

The Tone:
This is a full-time role at Gartner Refrigeration, a Waldinger Company, located in our Plymouth Office. The Waldinger Corporation operates within the construction business line, delivering specialized refrigeration services. This Accounting Analyst role is crucial for ensuring the accurate and efficient completion of all accounting and administrative support duties related to assigned construction projects.

• Mission: Ensures the accurate and efficient completion of accounting and administrative support duties for construction projects.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Project Accounting: Manages the comprehensive accounting duties for assigned construction projects, encompassing new job and work order setup, accurate billing, and overall project management, including change order entry.
• Accounts Receivable: Drives timely collection efforts for all construction receivables through frequent review of past due accounts and adherence to established AR processes, coordinating monthly statements and identifying accounts for external collection.
• Cash Management: Executes daily cash management responsibilities, including accurate forecasting, reconciliation, and monitoring of cash flow.
• Contract Management: Maintains and updates the central database for all construction job contracts and associated change orders.
• Administrative Duties: Provides essential administrative and accounting support, which includes performing month-end reconciliations, processing contractor license applications/renewals, and requesting insurance certificates.

The Must-Haves
• Background: A Bachelor’s Degree is required, providing a foundational understanding of accounting principles and practices.
• Experience: Requires 1-2 years of direct accounting experience.
• Skills: Demonstrated proficiency in project accounting, accounts receivable management, cash management, contract administration, and financial reconciliation processes.
• Bonus: Previous experience gained within a public accounting firm is considered a strong advantage.
