• Team: Works within collaborative, cross-functional squads comprising a Squad Lead, Business Analyst, Development Lead (this role), Developers, and Quality Engineers, fostering strong communication and shared ownership.
• Mission: Lead significant multifunctional development initiatives, solve complex technical challenges, write advanced code for computer systems, and serve as a senior source of technical expertise to ensure high-quality software delivery.
• Tech Stack: Java (Spring Boot), JavaScript (Angular), Oracle, SQL Server, Cloud data lakes, BigData, LakeHouse, Docker, Kubernetes, Azure, AWS.
What You’ll Actually Do
• Design: Interface with technical personnel to finalize detailed software designs for highly resilient and scalable applications.
• Mentorship: Mentor software developers on development methodologies and optimization techniques.
• Coordination: Serve as the primary technical point of contact for external technology resources.
• Expertise: Act as the acknowledged “go to” person on coding and complex technical issues.
• Collaboration: Occasionally engage with customers from financial institutions in technical workshops or brainstorming sessions.
The Must-Haves
• Background: A seasoned software development professional with 10+ years of experience. This includes deep knowledge of architectural principles and a solid understanding of frontend-backend integration, REST APIs, and microservices. Must possess expertise in leading teams, driving technical excellence, and partnering with both internal and external technology resources to solve complex business needs. Proven track record in designing and delivering full-stack applications is essential.
• Experience: Over a decade in software development, with significant experience leading teams in identifying, researching, and coordinating resources to effectively troubleshoot and diagnose complex project issues. Demonstrated ability to collaborate closely with Product Owners to define technical solutions and actively contribute to the estimation process.
• Skills: Strong hands-on proficiency in Java (Spring Boot) and JavaScript (Angular). Mandatory experience with data storage systems such as Oracle, SQL Server, Cloud data lakes, BigData, or LakeHouse. Practical knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud services in Azure, AWS, or another major cloud provider.
• Bonus: Experience with AI technologies is a strong plus.
