This Intern role within the Investigations & Forensic Accounting team is crucial for supporting high-impact matters by uncovering facts and analyzing intricate financial information, contributing directly to legal, risk, and regulatory challenges faced by businesses globally.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Research: Conduct thorough research on companies, industries, financial information, and economic trends to identify and understand key facts and issues for ongoing projects.
• Analysis: Review and analyze detailed financial and non-financial information, subsequently summarizing findings clearly for project teams and senior professionals.
• Report Support: Provide essential support in the preparation of forensic accounting, damages, and investigation reports, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
• Expert Report Evaluation: Help evaluate and respond to reports prepared by other experts by meticulously checking the underlying logic, assumptions, and supporting evidence behind their conclusions.
• Legal Process Assistance: Assist with the comprehensive preparation required for hearings, trials, and mediations, with opportunities to attend these high-stakes settings to observe how analytical work is applied.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Entry-level student currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a closely related field from an accredited institution. Candidates should have an expected graduation date between December 2027 and August 2028.
• Experience: No prior internship experience is strictly required, although previous experience in forensic investigations, audit, accounting, finance, or consulting is considered helpful for this role.
• Skills: Demonstrated strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking abilities are essential. Candidates must also possess clear communication skills, encompassing effective listening, writing, speaking, and presenting information. The ability to manage time effectively, maintain organization, and balance multiple priorities or deadlines is also required. Proficiency in using Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and PowerPoint, is necessary.
• Bonus: An expressed interest in pursuing professional credentials such as CPA, CFF, CFA, CFE, or ABV is a plus. Proficiency in a second language is also beneficial.
