Summer Intern – Accounting | The Friedkin Group

The Tone:
This is an internship at The Friedkin Group, located in Greater Houston. The Friedkin Group encompasses a range of affiliated companies involved in automotive distribution, financial services, logistics, and luxury automotive dealerships. This role offers accounting students a critical opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a corporate environment, building foundational knowledge across key accounting functions while working alongside experienced professionals. What You’ll Actually Do
• Learn general ledger operations within a corporate setting.
• Examine accounts receivable and accounts payable processes.
• Complete account reconciliations.
• Assist with financial reporting activities.
• Collaborate with diverse teams across multiple companies, utilizing various accounting systems.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Entry-level, pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting as a Rising Junior or Senior from a 4-year Accredited College or University.
• Experience: An overall GPA of 3.0 or above.
• Skills: Valid Driver’s License required; ability to reside in the Houston or surrounding areas during the duration of the internship.
