Consultant Senior Finance, Stratégie, Performance Banque – Regulatory | KPMG
The Tone:
This is a full-time role at KPMG, located in La Défense (Paris, France), with a hybrid work mode. KPMG is France’s leading multidisciplinary firm, recognized as a preferred employer in audit and consulting, dedicated to innovation and transformation for clients ranging from CAC 40 companies to mid-sized enterprises. This role is within the Finance, Strategy & Performance Bank department, specifically the Regulatory teams, which are crucial in guiding financial institutions through complex regulatory changes. Your expertise will enable clients to understand, analyze, and implement evolving prudential requirements, contributing significantly to their compliance and strategic responses.

• Mission: To guide financial institutions through the complexities of regulatory and prudential requirements, ensuring compliance and optimized responses.
What You’ll Actually Do
• Normative Analysis: Advise clients on understanding and interpreting prudential standards, particularly new frameworks like Basel IV, to optimize their responses to applicable requirements.
• Regulatory Relations: Assist clients in expert exchanges with competent authorities such as the ACPR, EBA, BCE, and SRB, especially in response to supervisory inspection findings.
• Prudential Reporting: Guide clients through the comprehension, analysis, and interpretation of instructions related to prudential publications.
• Authorization Processes: Accompany clients throughout the entire authorization process for regulated activities, including credit, investment, and payment services.
• Knowledge Transfer: Deliver training sessions to client teams on prudential evolutions and regulatory updates, and contribute to KPMG’s internal regulatory publications through normative analysis.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Master’s degree from a top business or engineering school, or a recognized university, with a strong interest in prudential matters.
• Experience: At least 2 years of successful prior experience in the banking sector, either within a financial institution, an audit or consulting firm, or a supervision/regulation body (e.g., ACPR, BCE, EBA, SRB).
• Skills: Strong analytical and synthesis capabilities, excellent written and oral communication in both French and English, proven teamwork and project management abilities, and a solid understanding of the banking sector.
• Bonus: A desire to contribute to business development through commercial proposals and client pitches, and to engage in team leadership, development, and training activities within the firm.
