Accelerated Leadership Program – Research & Development Career Path – 5th Division Projects | Schaeffler

The Tone:
This is a full-time development program at Schaeffler, with the first of four six-month rotations starting in Wooster, Ohio, and subsequent rotations occurring across the North American Region or internationally. The TL;DR

• Mission: Develop into a professional leader within Schaeffler’s Research & Development division, capable of contributing to project success and best practices through cross-functional exposure.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Mentorship: Partner with an experienced professional leader serving as a mentor to develop best practices and systematically evolve into a recognized leader at Schaeffler.
• Knowledge Acquisition: Gain comprehensive knowledge and insights by working alongside experts in relevant and cross-functional departments throughout the program’s rotations.
• Structured Training: Engage in training based on the 70:20:10 model, which strongly emphasizes a mixture of hands-on experience, dedicated mentoring, and formal educational training.
• Skill Development: Utilize provided leadership training and tools specifically designed to develop and refine crucial leadership skills throughout your program tenure.
• Program Completion: Successfully complete all assigned rotation development milestones, ensuring you are fully equipped for your guaranteed permanent position upon graduation from the program.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree in a relevant Engineering discipline or Engineering Technology, with a minimum 3.0 GPA. This program targets high-potential, entry-level candidates seeking a leadership career path.
• Experience: A minimum of two relevant co-op or internship rotations. Demonstrated willingness to relocate every six months for program rotations across various facilities in the North American Region (USA, Mexico, Canada) and potentially internationally. Experience contributing effectively in settings that require adaptability, initiative, and strong teamwork.
• Skills: Strong understanding of fundamental engineering principles. Excellent organizational and communication skills crucial for effective cross-departmental collaboration. Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
• Bonus: Preferred leadership experience or exposure gained through structured environments such as ROTC, military service, student organizations, or athletics. Exposure to aerospace, advanced manufacturing, or other complex engineering environments is also a plus.
