Manager, Legal Operations for the Employment Law Team | Deloitte

• Mission: This person solves the problem of ensuring efficient and effective functioning for the Employment Law Team by managing projects, stakeholders, and team operations.
• Tech Stack: ServiceNow, MS Teams, iManage, Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel)

What You’ll Actually Do
• Case Management: Design, maintain, and own consistent and efficient case triage and intake processes for new claims, ensuring accurate logging and end-to-end lifecycle management in ServiceNow.
• Operational Governance: Develop and oversee the Employment Law Team’s management information framework, owning data quality across systems to support strategic decision-making and reporting.
• Technology Adoption: Act as a champion for the adoption, implementation, and evaluation of legal AI and technology tools, driving effective user adoption and managing vendor relationships.
• Stakeholder Coordination: Own the operational interface with external counsel on active matters, coordinating information flow, managing witness preparation logistics, and building relationships with internal teams like HR and Finance.
• Financial Management: Partner with the Legal Director to identify and implement cost-saving initiatives, own rolling budget trackers, and manage day-to-day financial operations including invoicing and accruals.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent from an accredited university, with experience in a legal operations, business management, or operational management role within a complex organization or professional services environment.
• Experience: Demonstrable experience managing budgets, financial reporting, and collaborating with Finance stakeholders, along with a track record of supporting technology implementation and use, including legal case management systems like ServiceNow or equivalent.
• Skills: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint and Excel), excellent project management and organizational skills, strong written and verbal communication for engaging credibly with senior stakeholders, and strategic thinking with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Bonus: Demonstrable knowledge of or experience working within employment law or an employment litigation environment, including familiarity with Acas Early Conciliation and Employment Tribunal processes.
