The Tone:
This is a temporary internship at UHY-US, located in the Quad Cities area. UHY is one of the nation’s largest professional services firms, providing audit, tax, consulting, and advisory services primarily to the dynamic middle market. This role offers a unique opportunity for students to gain practical audit experience, contribute to the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting, and learn alongside experienced professionals. Interns will work on real-world engagements, supporting audit teams for diverse clientele.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Audit Support: Collaborate with audit teams to perform tasks such as data entry, documentation preparation, and basic analysis of financial information.
• Procedure Execution: Assist in conducting audit procedures, including substantive testing and control testing, to ensure financial accuracy.
• Documentation Management: Support the maintenance of audit files and documentation, ensuring they are accurate, organized, and compliant with firm standards.
• Reporting & Analysis: Assist in compiling financial data, transactions, and other relevant information for audit analysis, and help prepare workpapers and audit reports.
• Professional Development: Actively engage in training sessions and learning opportunities to enhance understanding of audit concepts, practices, and software tools.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Entry-Level. Currently enrolled at an accredited college/university pursuing a degree in accounting, finance, or a related field, along with a High School Diploma or GED.
• Experience: 0 – 1 year of relevant experience.
• Skills: Strong attention to detail, effective communication with team members, ability to utilize audit software and tools, and a demonstrated strong work ethic and professionalism.
• Bonus: Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher.
