The TL;DR

• Mission: Manage foundational accounting operations, including month-end close, reconciliations, and financial data analysis, for a growing company.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Month-End Close: Oversee monthly accounting cycles and generate accurate journal entries.
• Account Reconciliation: Conduct general ledger and account reconciliations, performing detailed analysis to ensure accuracy.
• Bank Operations: Handle daily bank updates and complete regular bank reconciliations for all accounts.
• Fixed Assets: Administer fixed assets rollforwards and precisely calculate depreciation schedules.
• Financial Reporting: Compile financial reports, create essential supporting schedules, and analyze financial data for stakeholders.

The Must-Haves
• Background: A Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting is required. This role is suitable for an early-career professional seeking to develop foundational accounting expertise.
• Experience: A minimum of 0-3 years of relevant work experience is required. Experience in public accounting is preferred but not mandatory for this position.
• Skills: Proficiency in creating journal entries, performing general ledger and account reconciliations, managing bank reconciliations, handling accruals, and understanding fixed asset accounting. Competence in financial reporting and data analysis is also essential.
• Bonus: A Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license is preferred, though not strictly required. Prior experience within a public accounting environment would be advantageous.
