Revenue & Receivables Accounting Analyst | Best Buy

The Tone:
This is a full-time, hybrid role at Best Buy, located in Richfield, Minnesota, with required on-site work Monday through Thursday. Best Buy is a 75,169-person organization focused on humanizing and personalizing tech solutions for every stage of life — in stores, online, and in customers’ homes. This position supports operational accounting, financial reconciliations, reporting, and issue resolution activities for e-commerce and partner marketplace programs, playing a critical role in ensuring the accurate processing, billing, reporting, and reconciliation of high-volume transactions across multiple sales channels.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Reconciliation: Perform daily and month-end reconciliations of sales, payments, commissions, receivables, and related financial activity across multiple systems, preparing recurring reporting and audit documentation.
• Issue Resolution: Investigate and resolve reporting, system, data quality, transaction, billing, payment, and reconciliation issues by partnering with business and technology teams to identify root causes and drive timely discrepancy resolution.
• Process Improvement: Analyze trends, variances, risks, and recurring issues to identify process improvement opportunities, strengthen financial controls, and support system enhancements for accurate financial reporting.
• Configuration Management: Maintain fee structures, commission rates, and billing configurations, including validating calculations, supporting rate updates, and ensuring accurate invoicing and partner billing.
• Operational Support: Support seasonal business activities and operational initiatives, including high-volume transaction reviews, dispute resolution, and other accounting or operational support needs across the broader team.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Entry-Level. A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field is preferred.
• Experience: 6+ months of accounting, finance, reconciliation, or operational finance experience, with a preference for experience in marketplace, e-commerce, receivables, or transaction-based accounting.
• Skills: Intermediate Excel skills, experience working with large data sets, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, ability to manage multiple priorities and meet recurring deadlines, and strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Bonus: Experience with systems such as Oracle, OneStream, ECT, ReSA, EDW, or similar ERP/reporting platforms, and experience with process improvement, identifying, and resolving system or reporting exceptions.
