Financial Accounting Intern | Rally House

This role is crucial for supporting the corporate Accounting & Finance teams, helping to develop properly prepared financial reports through hands-on experience in reconciliations and financial analytics. The intern will gain valuable accounting and financial reporting skills while fostering professional relationships within the company.

• Mission: This person helps ensure properly prepared financial reports by performing reconciliations and financial analysis, supporting the corporate Accounting & Finance teams.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Invoice Processing: Process vendor invoices in coordination with the Accounts Payable team.
• Reconciliation Preparation: Prepare various reconciliations for review by the Controller.
• Data Review: Examine financial data to ensure proper posting to the general ledger.
• Account Analysis: Prepare financial analysis specifically for designated spending accounts.
• Revenue Cycle Learning: Shadow a staff accountant to learn and understand various month-end revenue cycle tasks.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Entry-Level individual currently enrolled at an accredited college or university, or a recent graduate, pursuing a relevant degree such as Accounting or Finance.
• Experience: No specific years of experience required for this entry-level role; however, candidates must be eligible to work in the U.S. and willing to work part-time in a Rally House store prior to starting the internship.
• Skills: A foundational understanding of accounting principles, strong analytical capabilities, and effective verbal and written communication skills are essential.
• Bonus: Intermediate experience with Microsoft Excel is preferred for this role.
