The Tone:
This is a full-time hybrid internship at Westinghouse Electric Co, located in Cranberry Township, US. This role is crucial as it directly supports the Global Accounting & Close team, ensuring the accurate and timely completion of closing administration functions. Your contributions will help maintain financial integrity and identify opportunities for operational efficiency within the accounting department.

• Team: Reports to the Accounting Manager
• Mission: Supports the Global Accounting & Close team with closing administration functions, including journal entries, cost distributions, and process improvements.
• Tech Stack: Blackline, SAP

What You’ll Actually Do
• Closing Checklist Management: Provide support with the preparation of the closing checklist in Blackline and the overall accounting calendar.
• Legacy Data Integration: Assist in posting trial balance feeds from non-US legacy non-SAP entities into SAP, including the necessary account mapping.
• Financial Reconciliations: Help prepare Blackline account reconciliations and journal entries for accounts managed by the Global Accounting & Close organization.
• Process Enhancement: Identify opportunities to improve existing business practices and contribute to the creation of standard operating procedures documentation.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or an equivalent field.
• Experience: Completed Sophomore year of college.
• Skills: Blackline, SAP, financial reconciliation, journal entry preparation, process analysis, standard operating procedures documentation.
