This is a temporary internship at UHY-US, located in Greenwood, SC. UHY-US is one of the nation’s largest professional services firms, providing audit, tax, consulting, and advisory services to clients primarily in the middle market. This role offers a unique opportunity to gain practical experience in the field of audit and assurance, contributing to the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting for a diverse clientele. What You’ll Actually Do
• Perform data entry, documentation preparation, and basic financial information analysis in collaboration with audit teams.
• Conduct audit procedures, including substantive and control testing, as an active member of the audit team.
• Maintain accurate, organized, and compliant audit files and documentation according to firm standards.
• Prepare workpapers and audit reports, and compile financial data, transactions, and relevant information for audit analysis.
• Engage in training sessions and learning opportunities to enhance understanding of audit concepts, practices, and software tools.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Entry-Level. Currently enrolled at an accredited college/university pursuing a degree in accounting, finance, or a related field. High School Diploma or GED or High School equivalent certificate.
• Experience: 0 – 1 year of relevant experience.
• Skills: Close attention to detail for accuracy, effective communication with team members, strong work ethic, professionalism, and commitment to learning.
• Bonus: Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher.
