Staff Accountant | LendingOne

The Tone:
This is a full-time hybrid role at LendingOne, located in Boca Raton, FL, offering Work-From-Home Fridays. LendingOne is a direct private lender for real estate professionals, headquartered in Boca Raton with additional offices in Charlotte, NC, and Great Neck, NY. This role is critical for a detail-oriented, self-motivated individual who will manage core general ledger responsibilities and the entire accounts payable process, directly supporting the company’s financial accuracy and compliance. The ideal candidate will be a fast learner eager to expand their skills, leverage new technologies—including helping implement AI for process automation—and collaborate seamlessly across departments to support LendingOne’s continued success and growth.

What You’ll Actually Do
• General Ledger: Process day-to-day financial transactions, prepare journal entries, and perform bank ledger reconciliations to support month-end closing procedures.
• Accounts Payable: Oversee full-cycle accounts payable processes to ensure accurate, compliant, and timely vendor payments.
• Financial Collaboration: Work closely with Legal, Asset Management, and Post-Closing teams to verify billing accuracy and resolve discrepancies.
• Audit & Technology Support: Assist with yearly audits and support technological transitions, including the implementation of AI for process automation.
• Financial Integrity: Exercise sound judgment and discretion in handling sensitive financial records while maintaining high attention to detail.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, suitable for an early career professional eager to advance within the company.
• Experience: Demonstrated intermediate to advanced level proficiency in Excel is essential. Candidates must also have familiarity with standard accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, or similar systems.
• Skills: Possess excellent organizational skills, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to efficiently manage multiple tasks concurrently. Strong written and verbal communication skills are necessary, along with the capacity to troubleshoot and resolve financial discrepancies effectively.
