Associate – SLM (6 months Fixed Terms Contract) | Adidas

The Tone:
This is a 6-month fixed-term contract role at Adidas, located in Chennai, within the Global Business Services Centre. Adidas is a global company focused on sports and sportswear. This role is crucial for ensuring the accurate, timely, and compliant processing of all supplier creation and modification activities, directly impacting the company’s financial operations and adherence to regulatory requirements. It ensures operational efficiency and compliance for the organization’s vendor management processes.

The TL;DR

• Team: Corporate Services, collaborating with Accounts Payable and Procurement teams
• Mission: Ensure accurate, timely, and compliant processing of supplier creation and modification activities for the Global Business Services Centre.
• Tech Stack: SAP, Microsoft Excel, Word

What You’ll Actually Do
• Process: Receive, analyze, and validate requests for vendor creation and changes, ensuring alignment with defined procedures and required documentation.
• Execute: Accurately create and modify vendors in ERP systems, such as SAP, ensuring all data fields are correct and processed within agreed-upon SLA timelines.
• Comply: Ensure all processing activities adhere to tax regulations (including VAT/WHT), company policies, and internal control requirements.
• Verify: Conduct double-checks on data entry to ensure accuracy and follow up on assigned requests within the system.
• Communicate: Respond to basic inquiries from stakeholders via email and provide support for additional activities and escalations as needed.

The Must-Haves
• Background: University degree in Commerce, Business Administration, Finance, Controlling, or a similar field, with core domain knowledge in accounting or business.
• Experience: 3+ years of relevant work experience in the accounting or business area, including hands-on experience with ERP systems like SAP and basic Microsoft Excel and Word skills.
• Skills: Basic accounting knowledge, understanding of the Accounts Payable process, strong attention to detail to meet quality standards, and effective written and verbal communication abilities.
• Bonus: Experience gained within a Shared Service environment is considered an advantage.
