What You’ll Actually Do
• Invoice Preparation: Prepare invoices accurately and efficiently for various accounting functions, contributing to the smooth operation of financial transactions.
• General Ledger Entries: Create and process general ledger entries with precision, maintaining the integrity and completeness of the organization’s financial records.
• Account Reconciliation: Perform routine and systematic reconciliations of general ledger accounts, identifying and resolving discrepancies to ensure financial balance and accuracy.
• Customer Inquiry Resolution: Act as a key point of contact for financial queries, utilizing problem-solving skills and a positive attitude to resolve internal and external customer inquiries efficiently and escalating complex issues promptly.
• Skill Development: Engage in continuous professional development to enhance general ledger research capabilities and achieve intermediate-level proficiency in Microsoft Excel, supporting ongoing departmental improvements and personal growth.

The Must-Haves
• Background: An associate’s or bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with a minimum of 18 credit hours in accounting or finance. If the degree is not in accounting or finance fields, a minimum of 18 college credits in accounting or finance fields are required.
• Experience: No previous work experience is required for this entry-level position, making it an excellent opportunity for recent graduates or those transitioning careers.
• Skills: Demonstrated problem-solving abilities, a positive attitude, flexibility when encountering uncertainty, and the capacity for timely escalation of issues are key for customer interactions. Additionally, a commitment to developing general ledger research skills and achieving intermediate-level proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required.
• Bonus: A degree with a major in accounting or finance is strongly preferred. Previous internship or work experience specifically in government accounting or healthcare settings is also a plus. Prior practical experience with general ledger entries is considered advantageous.
