Commercial Engines Leadership Development Program Associate | Pratt & Whitney

The Tone:
This is an onsite, full-time role at Pratt & Whitney, located in East Hartford, CT. Pratt & Whitney, a cornerstone of RTX, is a global leader in the design, manufacture, and service of aircraft engines and auxiliary power systems, with over a century of innovation in modern flight. This Commercial Engines Leadership Development Program is designed to cultivate future leaders who will navigate complex industry challenges, advance their professional skills, and contribute to creating a safer, more connected world. Associates in this program will gain critical experience within the Commercial Engines Business, which is dedicated to designing, manufacturing, and servicing advanced aircraft engines for commercial airlines globally.

• Team: Rotational program across four different Commercial Engines business departments.
• Mission: To provide broad exposure and significant growth opportunities within the Commercial Engines Business and the broader aerospace industry through a structured two-year rotational program, preparing associates for key leadership positions upon completion.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Project Work: Work with rotational supervisors on high-impact projects that support key business objectives within Commercial Engines.
• Presentations: Present final projects to the Commercial Engines senior leadership team at the conclusion of each rotation.
• Mentorship: Participate in an assigned mentorship program connecting current and new CELDP associates.
• Program Support: Support the CELDP through functional assignments in recruiting, onboarding, and networking outreach.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in a business discipline such as Management, Finance, Analytics, Economics, Information Systems, Mathematics, Aviation, an Integrated Business and Engineering program, or a related field, with the major obtained by the start date.
• Experience: Prior experience with general business operations is required. U.S. citizenship is a mandatory requirement, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access certain necessary systems or sites essential to the role.
• Skills: Experience with Microsoft Office Tools.
• Bonus: Minimum GPA of 3.0; Adaptability to new teams and rotational assignments; Proficiency with building or utilizing digital tools; Project management and process improvement experience.
