Staff Accountant | Legends Global

The Tone:
This is a full-time role at Legends Global, located in Cary, NC, specifically operating the Koka Booth Amphitheatre. Legends Global manages this vibrant 7000-seat outdoor amphitheater, which hosts over sixty events annually, including national acts, festivals, and large community celebrations. The Staff Accountant plays an important part in the daily financial operations, ensuring accurate accounting, reporting, and event settlements that are crucial for the continued success of the venue.

• Mission: This role is responsible for supporting the daily financial operations, reporting, and event settlements for Koka Booth Amphitheatre.
• Tech Stack: MS Outlook, Excel, Word, Microsoft Dynamics (D365)

What You’ll Actually Do
• Accounts Payable Management: Handle all aspects of accounts payable, including issuing purchase orders, processing timely payments, maintaining vendor ledgers, and resolving dispute issues.
• Accounts Receivable Management: Manage all accounts receivable procedures, including invoicing, collections, error correction, and maintaining aged receivable schedules.
• Budget Support: Collaborate with department heads and the finance team to manage budgets throughout the fiscal year.
• Event Settlements and Reporting: Review daily box office sales reports, maintain and reconcile various ticket sales data, and execute event settlements as needed.
• Financial Closing Assistance: Assist with day-to-day accounting activities, general ledger maintenance, trial balance preparation, and month/year-end closing processes.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor of Arts/Sciences Degree in Finance or Accounting.
• Experience: Proficiency with advanced PC skills including MS Outlook, Excel, and Word; experience with general accounting functions, financial reporting, A/R, A/P, and payroll processing.
• Skills: Strong attention to detail and high accuracy rate; excellent customer service and professional interaction with various functions and levels; ability to work with minimal supervision while preserving strict confidentiality.
• Bonus: Experience with Microsoft Dynamics (D365) is beneficial.
