The Tone:
This is a winter 2028 internship at PwC, located in Las Vegas, NV. PwC is a global organization that provides independent and objective assessments, helping clients maintain transparency and compliance with regulatory requirements. As an Audit Intern, you will gain exposure to financial statement audits, contribute to client support initiatives, and enhance your understanding of financial reporting and decision-making. This experience will lay a foundational understanding for your future career in audit and assurance.

• Mission: Observe and participate in the audit process to enhance understanding of financial reporting and decision-making.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Support: Assist audit teams in conducting financial statement audits and gaining exposure to auditing methodologies.
• Verify: Participate in the review and verification of financial documents to uphold transparency and compliance with accounting standards.
• Analyze: Help in the analysis and interpretation of financial data to identify trends and provide insights for decision-making.
• Document: Engage in the documentation of audit processes and findings to maintain organized and consistent records.
• Apply: Learn and apply Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and Generally Accepted Auditing Standards (GAAS) in audit tasks.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Currently pursuing or have completed a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting. This is an entry-level role for candidates typically in their third year of a four-year program or fourth year of a five-year program at the time of application.
• Experience: At least a 3.0 overall GPA. Meet the educational requirements to be eligible to sit for the CPA exam in your intended state of employment before starting full-time at PwC.
• Skills: Foundational understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and Generally Accepted Auditing Standards (GAAS). Data analysis and interpretation skills for financial trends. Ability to contribute to the evaluation of internal controls.
• Bonus: Preference for a 3.5 overall GPA. Ability to leverage AI to create efficiencies, innovate ways of working, and deliver distinctive outcomes.
