The Tone:
This is a fully on-site role at California Bioenergy LLC, located in Dallas, TX. CalBio is a leading developer of dairy digester projects, generating renewable natural gas and electricity from dairy waste to power clean trucks, buses, and cars. This role is crucial for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing reports, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and internal controls. The Staff Accountant directly contributes to the company’s financial success within the renewable energy industry.

• Mission: Supports the organization’s financial operations by maintaining accurate financial records, preparing reports, assisting with month-end close, and ensuring compliance.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Maintain: Maintain the General Ledger and all subsidiary ledgers for financial operations.
• Reconcile: Perform Balance Sheet reconciliations to ensure accuracy of financial statements.
• Manage: Manage Fixed Assets records and depreciation schedules.
• Analyze: Analyze monthly Budget to Actual variances and review with the Director to identify corrective actions.
• Prepare: Prepare the required documentation for external audits by banks, financial institutions, and fiscal authorities.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree in accounting.
• Experience: Preferred 1-2 years of accounting experience.
• Skills: Effective communication skills (verbal and written), ability to manage and prioritize large volumes of data, strong problem-solving skills, detail-oriented, and knowledge of Accounting, Tax, and Insurance principles and practices.
