Staff Accountant | D&W Fine Pack

The Tone:
This is a full-time role at D&W Fine Pack, located in Wood Dale, IL, with eligibility to work remotely up to three days per week after successful training. D&W Fine Pack manufactures packaging. This role offers an excellent opportunity for an early-career accounting professional to gain broad exposure to financial reporting, capital accounting, budgeting, and audit support. The Staff Accountant will make a real impact by working closely with Finance leadership, corporate departments, and plant controllers across the organization.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Maintain Records: Ensure accuracy and compliance of accounting records by processing journal entries, performing account reconciliations, and reviewing financial statements and other financial reports.
• Support Capital: Support capital tracking, analysis, and reporting, including monitoring compliance with corporate capital policies and serving as a liaison to various departments.
• Review Reports: Identify unusual variances or outliers in monthly financial reports and conduct research to determine whether adjustments are required.
• Assist Audits: Facilitate audit, bank examination, and asset valuation processes by communicating required deliverables and ensuring timely submission of requested information.
• Manage Budgets: Assist with developing, maintaining, and analyzing budgets for corporate departments and prepare related monthly reports.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance field
• Experience: 0 – 3 years of Accounting experience; relevant accounting internship experience preferred
• Skills: Advanced Microsoft Excel, excellent verbal communication, excellent written communication, strong analytical, strong problem solving
• Bonus: CPA designation or active pursuit of CPA certification
