As an intern within the Credits, Incentives & Methods (CIM) group, specifically with Accounting Methods & Periods (AMP), you will work with diverse companies, developing strong client relationships built on understanding their businesses and challenges, while focusing on technical expertise and excellent client service.

• Mission: Assist with tax planning and research related to various items that affect the timing of income, deductions, capitalization, cost recovery, and inventory.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Tax Planning & Research: Assist with tax planning and research concerning various items that affect the timing of income, deductions, capitalization, cost recovery, and inventory.
• Client Business Acumen: Develop an understanding of client businesses and their specific industries to help identify effective tax planning ideas.
• Project Implementation: Support the implementation of multiple simultaneous projects, which includes conducting client interviews, data gathering, detailed analysis, performing computations, and preparing tax filings.
• Technical Documentation: Document factual information and technical positions, and draft other technical memoranda as required.
• Effective Communication: Communicate effectively and respond in a timely manner to internal and external requests to ensure the successful progression of AMP engagements.
• Professional Development: Maintain professional competency through continuing education and by obtaining additional professional certifications.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Entry-level professional pursuing a Bachelor of Arts or Science degree or equivalent in Accounting from an accredited university.
• Experience: Candidates must have completed 90 credit hours toward their degree and possess access to and ability to arrange for reliable modes of transportation to assigned client locations.
• Skills: Demonstrated excellent written and verbal communication skills; strong computer proficiency, particularly in Microsoft Excel; the ability to work effectively as part of a team; and capability to multitask effectively in a professional environment.
• Bonus: A minimum 3.0 GPA is preferred.
