The Staff Accountant plays a crucial part in supporting client engagements and ensuring accurate financial reporting.

• Mission: Support client engagements by ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance through audit procedures and workpaper preparation.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Prepare: Create accurate workpapers for accounting and audit engagements.
• Perform: Execute audit procedures for assigned accounts and transactions.
• Assist: Contribute to the preparation of financial statements and related notes.
• Research: Investigate accounting and auditing issues as assigned.
• Communicate: Relay engagement status, questions, and issues to the In-Charge.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree with an accounting concentration or equivalent, demonstrating basic knowledge of accounting and auditing principles for an early-career professional.
• Experience: Eligible to sit for the CPA exam.
• Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills, proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, and the ability to work independently as experience progresses.
• Bonus: Master’s degree in Accounting, an accounting internship, or one or more years of related public accounting experience.
