What You’ll Actually Do
• Invoice and Payment Processing: Assist with the accurate processing of invoices, management of expenses, and execution of vendor payments.
• Financial Statement Preparation: Contribute to the preparation of various financial statements and comprehensive reports.
• Account Reconciliation: Provide support for the reconciliation of bank accounts and general ledger accounts, ensuring accuracy.
• Data Entry and Maintenance: Precisely enter and diligently maintain accurate financial data within established accounting systems.
• Closing Process Support: Assist with critical month-end and year-end closing processes to finalize financial periods.
• Record Management: Help maintain and organize both digital and physical financial records for easy retrieval and compliance.
• Audit Participation: Participate in audit activities by meticulously preparing necessary documentation and supporting materials.
• Financial Analysis: Assist in analyzing financial data, contributing to budgeting and forecasting efforts.
• Operational Collaboration: Collaborate effectively with accounting staff to support daily accounting operations and team objectives.
• Ad-Hoc Tasks: Complete other accounting or finance-related tasks as specifically assigned by supervisors.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Currently pursuing a degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field, indicating a foundational understanding of financial principles.
• Experience: This is an internship, and while no specific years are required, candidates should demonstrate proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook). Familiarity with accounting systems or software is considered a valuable advantage.
• Skills: Possesses strong organizational and analytical skills, a meticulous attention to detail and accuracy, robust communication abilities, and the capacity to maintain confidentiality while handling sensitive information.
• Bonus: An expressed interest in the construction, paving, or infrastructure industries.
