Audit Winter Internship | UHY-US

The Tone:
This is a temporary, less than six (6) month, internship at UHY-US, located in Maryland. UHY is one of the nation’s largest professional services firms, providing audit, tax, consulting, and advisory services to clients primarily in the middle market. This role offers the unique opportunity to gain practical experience in audit and assurance, contributing to the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting for a diverse clientele.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Collaborate with audit teams on tasks such as data entry, documentation preparation, and basic analysis of financial information.
• Assist in conducting audit procedures, including substantive testing and control testing.
• Support the maintenance of audit files and documentation to ensure they are accurate, organized, and compliant with firm standards.
• Help prepare workpapers and audit reports, and compile financial data, transactions, and other relevant information for analysis.
• Participate in training sessions and utilize audit software and tools to enhance your understanding of audit concepts, practices, and processes.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Entry-Level, currently enrolled at an accredited college/university pursuing a degree in accounting, finance, or a related field. High School Diploma or GED or High School equivalent certificate.
• Experience: 0-1 year of relevant experience.
• Skills: Data entry, documentation preparation, basic financial information analysis, attention to detail, effective communication.
• Bonus: Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher.
