What You’ll Actually Do
• Reconcile accounts and complete journal entries for month-end closing processes.
• Manage the month-end close for assigned companies by preparing journal entries, recording fixed assets and depreciation, conducting bank reconciliations, and generating financial statements.
• Assist with reporting on variances between actual and budgeted income statement amounts.
• Provide weekly management reports for business units across six nationwide sites.
• Prepare financial documents, forecasts, and statements to analyze the financial state of the business, including insights on trends and changes.
• Formulate recommendations to management for cost reduction and efficiency improvements.
• Ensure company financials meet legal requirements and maintain good standing.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance, with a strong foundation in basic accounting theory, principles, and practices required to assist with month-end close and financial statement preparation.
• Experience: Proficiency in using General Ledger systems, and intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Skills: Accounting theory and principles, General Ledger systems, Microsoft Excel.
