Development Program: Fibrebond Operations Management | Eaton

The Tone:
This is a two-year rotational program at Eaton, located in Minden, LA. Eaton’s Fibrebond business, part of its Electrical Sector, manufactures specialized products. This program is critical for developing future operational leaders for a rapidly growing division, offering a foundational experience in production, operational excellence, and quality functions. It provides a unique opportunity for early career engineers to learn and advance within the organization.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Operational Training: Provide technical training across departments and support engineers with troubleshooting and application development.
• Quality Support: Collaborate with the Quality team to resolve testing issues, develop procedures, and ensure post-shipment support for products.
• Project Management: Lead capital projects, support strategic objectives, and facilitate new product launches from concept to implementation.
• Process Enhancement: Drive continuous improvement through the design of tooling and fixtures, integration of Industry 4.0 technologies, and execution of cost-out and lean initiatives.
• Team Supervision: Lead a production team to complete site production goals and gain frontline experience with Fibrebond products.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Entry-Level. Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering from an accredited institution, with a graduation date before August 2027. Eaton will not consider applicants for employment immigration sponsorship or support for this position.
• Experience: Minimum overall cumulative GPA of 2.8+. At least one internship or co-op experience, or an equivalent of 3 months of relevant work experience completed at the time of application.
• Skills: Technical knowledge of switchboards and power distribution systems (LV/MV Switchgear, Panelboards, MCCs), proficiency in PLC programming and electrical principles, and demonstrated ability to interpret and apply technical requirements in switchboard design using AutoCAD and 3D modeling tools.
• Bonus: Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical, Industrial, or Mechanical Engineering. Demonstrated leadership experience within campus and/or community. Two or more relevant internship or co-op experiences. Skilled in Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, Autodesk Inventor, and Eaton systems including VISTA, Bid Manager, AS-400, ENOVIA, and DMM.
