The Tone:
This is a full-time role at Newrez, located in an undisclosed in-person location, as part of the TRAIL (Tools Required for Advancement Into Leadership) program for recent college graduates. Newrez brings together thinkers and doers to facilitate homeownership through residential mortgage services. This role matters because it is designed to strengthen the company’s future leadership by building a foundation in process improvement, presentation, and leadership skills within the data and analytics domain.

• Mission: To gain practical, on-the-job leadership and management skills by supporting the mortgage origination process through data and analytics.
• Tech Stack: SQL, Tableau, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio

What You’ll Actually Do
• Support: Assist with data pulls, report generation, and basic analysis to support the mortgage origination process under senior direction.
• Build: Learn and apply foundational SQL and data visualization skills to create simple reports and dashboards.
• Document: Assist in gathering requirements and documenting specifications for Business Intelligence reporting and projects.
• Verify: Perform quality checks on data outputs and reports to help ensure accuracy and consistency.
• Improve: Help champion the Process Improvement discipline within the organization and implement steps and tools to complete projects successfully.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university, as a recent college graduate in an entry-level capacity.
• Experience: Proficiency in quantitative analysis and strong skills in Excel and/or Tableau (charts, graphs, pivot tables, formulas, macros). A degree in Data Analytics is preferred.
• Skills: Ability to excel in a team-oriented, collaborative environment, clearly articulate and present ideas to varied audiences, strong written and verbal communication, adaptability, a strong willingness to learn new tools and concepts, entrepreneurial business mindset, attention to detail, and ability to multi-task under pressure.
• Bonus: Experience with PowerPoint and Visio.
